Bill of Material
To maintain finished goods or raw materials in bill of material to perform item assembly.
*Available on PREMIUM edition and ULTIMATE edition ONLY.
First, you may need to enable this module.
Step: Go to Tools > Program Control > Module Setting
✓ Tick checkbox – Bill of Material(BOM)
*You may need create a new stock item for finished goods before proceed to create Item BOM Maintenance.
Item BOM Maintenance
To maintain Bill of Material for such finished goods and its material items.
Step: Stock > More Stock Maintenance > Item BOM Maintenance > Click New button
*Item Code: Select the item code that you created for finished goods item.
*Total Bal. Qty: Balance quantity for this finished goods (system will auto calculate and displayed here)
*Description: Description of this item finished goods (auto displayed upon selection of item code)
*Assembly Cost: Insert (if any) amount of cost involved in assembling one unit of this finished goods, which will be included in finished goods cost.
*Automatic Serial No Format: Select a serial number numbering format so the system will auto generate upon finished goods created. (To maintain the serial number numbering format, go to General Maintenance > Click New > Document Type select: S#, sample attached below: -)
*Format: You may set a format as you want.
*The serial number format will appear under Category: Others
*Select Sub Item Code to add BOM Material items one by one. *Key in qty of this material needed to assemble one unit of finished goods. *Overhead cost that will occur when using this material item to assemble finished goods (regardless of quantity)
*Total balance quantity is the current balance quantity of that materials item (auto display).
*Finished Goods Cost: Total assembly cost of one-unit BOM finished goods.
*Click Save.
*Click on + sign to view Sub-items and details of finished goods.
Stock Assembly Order
Stock assembly order will not affect stock movement; it can be transferred to Stock Assembly.
Step: Stock > Stock Assembly Order > Create New Stock Assembly Order
*Select the BOM item Code and Quantity
*Expected Completion Date: Insert expected date of completion (For Reference only)
New Stock Assembly Order > Raw Material Status Tab
*View the total quantity of raw materials needed and stock availability.
*Press Save.
*After create stock assembly order, user may use stock card report to view stock balance quantity of each item code.
*Stock assembly order will not affect balance quantity of raw material items.
Stock Assembly
*To assemble finished goods according to BOM setting.
*This transaction will increase the stock quantity of finished goods and decrease the stock quantity of raw materials items.
Step: Go to Stock > Select Stock Assembly > Create a New Stock Assembly
*Select Item BOM
*Key in the quantity to be assembled
*Press Save.
View the Stock Card Report again..
*After create Stock assembly entry, the balance quantity of raw materials will be deducted.
Dismantled Quantity
*To record when one or more materials item taken out from stock assembly.
*The dismantled item will be returned back (stock quantity increase) and the quantity of assembled finished goods will be reducing.
Step: Go to Stock > Stock Assembly > Select the stock assembly that involved dismantled quantity > Click Edit button
>Key in quantity into Dismantled Qty column.
*Press Save.
View Stock Assembly windows again,
View Stock Card Report again after done Dismantled quantity.
*The balance quantity of ItemCode:00007, Item BOM reduces.
*The balance quantity of ItemCode:00009, Item BOM (SUB – B) increase. (dismantled quantity)
Report: Item BOM Listing Report
To view & check all BOM Item and show the maximum quantity (finished goods) that could be assembled based on currently available materials items stock level.
Step: Stock > BOM Listing report
*Select Item BOM
*Press Inquiry.
BOM Material Usage Inquiry
To view the usage of a material item, such as in which finish item and the quantity needed to produce one unit of finished goods.
Step: Inquiry > BOM Material Usage Inquiry
Check BOM Material Inquiry
To check the of material items if a certain quantity of finished goods is to be assembled.
Step: Inquiry > Check BOM Material Inquiry
*Select BOM Item Code
*Key in Qty To Be Manufactured
*Press Inquiry.
